The Communa Summer Terrace is where the story begins.

A season of pizza, wine, music and communal dining featuring guest residencies, cultural programming and long-table gatherings throughout the summer.

Working alongside our residency partners, the terrace will host relaxed outdoor hospitality, sunset drinks, shared tables, live music and special events throughout the season.

We're looking for warm, enthusiastic people who enjoy hospitality, community and creating memorable experiences for others.

Trading Hours

  • Thursday 5pm–10pm

  • Friday 5pm–1am

  • Saturday 12pm–1am

  • Sunday 12pm–8pm

Closing times may occasionally vary depending on events, weather and seasonal demand.

Most roles involve evening and weekend shifts, with additional opportunities during events, markets and special programming.

Founding Events & Community Manager
Building the relationships, experiences and cultural energy that bring Communa to life.

We are seeking a culturally curious, socially driven and highly personable individual to help shape the atmosphere, programming and community around Communa from the very beginning. The Opportunity This is not a traditional events role. We are looking for someone who understands that hospitality is about far more than food and drink. It is about atmosphere, relationships, storytelling and creating experiences that bring people together. The Founding Events & Community Manager will sit at the intersection of: • Hospitality • Culture • Community • Events • Partnerships • Marketing • Communications • Brand Experience This person will play a central role in helping shape the social life, public identity and cultural direction of Communa during its launch phase. Key Responsibilities Events & Programming • Help plan and coordinate Communa's phased launch programme • Assist in creating a calendar of events, workshops, dinners, markets and cultural gatherings • Coordinate guest chefs, musicians, DJs, artists, facilitators and collaborators • Support event delivery during live service • Assist in developing recurring events and seasonal programming • Identify opportunities for new partnerships and experiences Community Building & Guest Experience • Become a visible and welcoming presence within the Communa community • Build genuine relationships with guests, collaborators and local supporters • Help foster a warm, inclusive and socially engaging atmosphere • Support the development of an early community around Communa • Help encourage repeat visitation, participation and long-term loyalty • Act as an ambassador for the project both online and offline Partnerships & Collaborations • Build relationships with local creatives, artists, musicians, makers and cultural organisations • Coordinate collaborations, pop-ups and partnership opportunities • Assist with community outreach initiatives • Support the development of future membership and community programmes • Identify opportunities that strengthen Communa's cultural relevance and impact Marketing, Content & Communications • Manage Communa's day-to-day social media presence across Instagram, TikTok and other relevant platforms • Create and publish engaging content that documents the evolution of the project • Coordinate photography and video content during launches and events • Support website updates and event listings • Assist with email newsletters and community communications • Help grow audience awareness and engagement throughout launch phases • Support PR activity, media outreach and launch announcements • Help ensure all communications reflect the tone, values and personality of Communa Styling & Brand Experience • Work closely with the founder to help shape the atmosphere and visual identity of Communa • Assist with styling spaces for launches, events and photoshoots • Source furniture, props, plants, tableware, signage and decorative elements where appropriate • Support visual merchandising across hospitality and event spaces • Help ensure every area feels welcoming, thoughtful and aligned with the Communa brand • Contribute ideas that enhance guest experience and sense of place Who We're Looking For We're less interested in polished corporate experience and more interested in people with: • Warmth • Emotional intelligence • Initiative • Strong social energy • Creativity • Curiosity • Excellent communication skills • A genuine desire to bring people together • The ideal person is likely part host, part producer, part marketer and part creative collaborator. Founding Bar & Drinks Manager
Leading the drinks programme and hospitality culture at the heart of Communa.

We are looking for a highly capable, hands-on and culturally aligned Founding Bar & Drinks Manager to help shape and lead Communa’s drinks programme and front-of-house bar operations through pre-opening and launch. This is not simply a bar management role. We are looking for someone who understands: • modern neighbourhood hospitality • music-led bar culture • warm and intelligent service • operational discipline and how to create atmosphere, rhythm and community around a bar. The role spans: • pre-opening setup • supplier sourcing • menu development • recruitment • systems implementation • service leadership and ongoing management of the bar team and guest experience. You will work closely with the Founder and Events & Community Manager to help define the culture and energy of Communa from day one. Bartender
Great drinks. Genuine hospitality. Memorable experiences.

As a Bartender, you'll be part of the team delivering drinks service across the Communa Summer Terrace, operating between the Horse box Bar and Upper Terrace Wine Bar. This is more than simply serving drinks. We're looking for people who enjoy meeting people, creating atmosphere and contributing to a memorable guest experience. You'll work closely with the Bar & Drinks Manager, Events & Community Manager and wider founding team to help bring Communa to life. Doubles Residency at Communa Summer Terrace | Frome, Somerset This summer, Doubles brings its much-loved pizza concept from Melksham to Communa Summer Terrace as part of a summer season of pizza, wine, music and communal dining in the heart of Frome. We're looking for a talented, reliable and passionate Pizza Chef to join the Doubles residency team and help deliver consistently great food throughout the summer season. Working from the terrace kitchen, you'll be part of a vibrant hospitality environment featuring guest chefs, wine collaborations, markets, live music and long-table gatherings. THE ROLE As Pizza Chef, you'll be responsible for preparing, cooking and serving high-quality pizzas during service whilst maintaining excellent standards of consistency, organisation and cleanliness. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with great ingredients, thrives in busy service and takes pride in producing food people genuinely enjoy. You'll work closely with the Doubles team and alongside the wider Communa Summer Terrace operation. Food & Drinks Runner
Supporting great hospitality from first drink to last glass.

As a Food & Drinks Runner, you'll play an important role in maintaining the flow of service across Communa Summer Terrace. Working between the Lower Terrace Bar, Upper Terrace Wine Bar and food partners, you'll help ensure guests receive a welcoming, well-organised and enjoyable experience from arrival to departure. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, working with people and being part of a fast-paced hospitality environment. Glass Wash / Barback
Keeping service flowing behind the scenes.

We're looking for a reliable, hardworking and organised Glass Wash / Barback to support the bar team and help keep service running smoothly during busy terrace trading. THE ROLE Great hospitality depends on great support behind the scenes. As Glass Wash / Barback, you'll be responsible for ensuring both terrace bars remain stocked, organised and ready for service. Working from the Communa Summer Terrace back-of-house area, you'll support bartenders, runners and the wider team by managing glassware, stock movement, ice replenishment and general service support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being busy, takes pride in organisation and wants to be part of a fast-paced hospitality environment.
